Superman & Batman

Ever since Max and Ava got super hero jammies a year ago or so, they love to pretend that Max is Superman and Ava is Batman. It's so cute. Ava has gotten into the habit of saying, "Mommy, I want you to call me Batman FOREVER!"

Lia and her blankie

Ah, my sweet little baby Lia. My last baby. My littlest one. My easygoing, mellow, go-with-the-flow baby. Who LOVES her blankies. I'm not exactly sure when the deep love for her blankies came about, but it's pretty normal around the house now. At any given point during the day, and most especially as naptime or bedtime nears, you can see Lia toddle back to her room and pull her blankie through the slats of the crib. She will then proceed to drag it around the house, find a good spot, ball it up on the floor, and lay down. If you even think about putting her in the crib without her favorite blankie, she will make sure you don't make that mistake again :). One night recently, she woke up in the middle of the night and threw up in her crib, all over both blankies we have here at the house. I tried putting her back to bed without them and she wasn't having it. Daddy had to drive to Ee's house to get a spare. As soon as we gave it to her, she laid down and went right to sleep. Here's a shot of her snuggling her favorite blankie right before bed.
